Canoe Linen Pillow tells the story of early American Indians in the north country. Colorful hand-painted details accent the canoe. The canoes were made with birch bark, which was ideal because it is lightweight and waterproof. Canoes were ideal for travelling long distances in the rivers and lakes of North America. The canoe was an important link to commerce as the fur trade exploded in America in the early 1700s. Pillow is made with 3-inch deer suede fringe and polyester pillow form.
