This image was photographed by renowned naturalist/photographer Edward Curtis. Curtis traveled the American West in the late 1800s and photographed loved to photograph American Indians in the natural habitat of high plains Dakotas. Curtis was instrumental in documenting the lifestyle of American Indians with his photographic story telling. Without his enormous contribution, giving us and future generations a glimpse into the everyday life of Native Americans, we would have no way of seeing how native inhabitants lived before America was settled. The pillow is made of Aged Cowhide with 3 inch fringe. Antiqued nickel silver studs and lacing frame the image. Back is faux suede.
