Shoshone Village Hide Painting
Shoshone Village Hide Painting
This Patricia Wolf work of art, hand-painted on deer skin, tells the story of a Native tribe following the migration of a buffalo herd from summer mountain meadows to the winter high plains. Hides were painted by American Indians to depict important events in their lives. The hide is laced onto the cedar stick with sheep wool and beaded tassels wrapped on the ends the stick. With the timeless appeal of a museum artifact, this wall hanging will add a Native accent to your western-themed home. The size of hides vary and no two are alike. Stick measures approximately 56 inches in length. Shown in Gold deer skin. Hide size approximately 40 in. X 40 in.
