Deer Spirit Fringed Shawl made in suede. Hand-painted with Patricia Wolf’s Deer Spirit paint motif, with a floral design hovering over the antlers. Designed and inspired by Georgia O’Keeffe’s paintings during her life in New Mexico. This paint design celebrates the important relationship between Native Americans and deer. Deer were a plentiful food source, and the skulls & antlers were often used in ceremonies by tribal shamans, and deerskin hides were the primary material used for clothing. Small antiqued silver studs line the lower edge of the shawl, just above the fringe. At 72 inches long, this shawl is large enough to wrap around your shoulders on those cool days and evenings, as a wonderful accessory. The shawl also doubles as a great piece of home décor, draped over a sofa or window sash.
